CASCADE SYSTEM
The Derrick Cascade System provides the screening potential of stacked units condensed into a single, compact shaker. This is achieved by incorporating the superior conveyance abilities of linear motion into multiple angle scalping screens which are mounted over three constant angle fine screens. This exceptional design offers increased solids removal capabilities while decreasing required rig space.
The top deck of the Cascade utilizes three screens set at -15°, -22.5°, and -40° for large drilled cuttings and sticky clay removal. These multiple angle scalping screens are mounted over 3 constant angle screens that compose the bottom deck. The bottom deck utilizes the same superior design as Derrick's time proven Flo-Line Cleaner linear motion shaker. This combination of adjustable decks and screens creates an impressive total screening area of 60 square feet.
The Derrick Cascade is the only system in the oilfield that uses two different deck designs powered by one set of electro-mechanical vibrating motors. Both motors are mounted directly to the shaker basket, resulting in uniform vibratory patterns throughout the basket. This ensures continual solids conveyance off the machine.
Other features of the Cascade System include:
- A hydraulic jacking system that enables the unit to operate from 0° to +5° uphill.
- A flow back tray that prevents solids build up and increases screen life.
- Derrick's patented Ramp-Lok rapid screen tensioning system.
- The option of a standard back tank or top feeder.
- All crucial components of the Cascade System are manufactured from stainless steel to ensure durability.
Overall dimensions of a single Derrick Cascade are 5 feet, 8 inches wide, 10 feet, 4 inches long, and 7 feet, 2 inches tall. All electrical components are explosion proof, Class I, DIV. 1, Group D, Class II, DIV . 1 Groups F & G, and meet current NEC standards.
