AWETO HYCENT

Mr. Hycent Aweto is a graduate of the University of Ibadan, 1996 . He has been very active in the Drilling Rigs industry with over 20 years’ experience, working both on onshore and offshore Rigs. He joined the Drilling Industry as a Roustabout in Lonestar Drilling Nigeria Limited and progressed to the position of a Rig Superintendent having passed through the ranks. While in Lonestar Drilling, he was actively involved in Drilling and Rig acquisition. He was the pioneer Project Manager for the Purchase and loadout of Lonestars Rigs 202,203 and 204 in Lake Maracaibo in Venezuela. He was also engaged in the retrofit of the Rigs in the Port of New Iberia and the eventual deployment of the Barges to Nigeria.

Mr Hycent Aweto later worked in Seawolf Oilfied Services as a Driller/ Toolpusher on a Freide and Goldman Jack up Cyber Rig off the coast of West Africa. As a newly built rig, his duties included the commissioning of the ADS10 Drawworks, National Mud Pumps, Varco TDS and the Caterpillar 3516 generators, as well as the setting up and implementing, of a PM system, ordering spare parts and ensuring all the systems are operating correctly. He was also part of the team that Mobilize the Rig on a 2 year Drilling Campaign for Addax Petroleum.

As a Rig Superintendent, with African Onshore Drilling Services in Senegal, he was carrying out Management decisions to provide a safe place of work while promoting safe working practices at the rig site. He also ensured safe and effective compliance with all DDL policies procedures, STOPs and contractual requirements as appropriate.

His other responsibilities included direct safe and efficient compliance with all safety regulations, codes and industry practices and relevant guidance, manage timely completion of performance appraisals and effective administration of disciplinary and grievance procedures, Plans drilling rig equipment utilization for each contract, coordinates rig moves and location visits, and assists the operation manager and marketing on job bids, monitors all rig paperwork, prepares work, orders to maintain equipment and upgrades, and assists with safety in preventing accidents and providing safe work sites, Establishes and maintains good working relations with customer personnel at rig and district level, Sets goals and objectives for rig personnel, Assists in the interview process for hiring rig personnel, approves all promotions, transfers or discharges, and approves all training for rig personnel.

Furthermore, he ensured that all Africa Onshore Drilling policies and procedures are adhered to on rig and enforces equipment PM programs Oversees major overhaul of rig components, and conducts rig visits and inspections Assists purchasing, safety, personnel, and maintenance departments for operations. Prepares and conducts monthly rig manager meetings, and attends weekly morning meetings Reviews and discusses morning reports from rig, and continually on call for an assigned rig. Acts as Project Manager on rig refurbishments, and approves all rig employee timesheets approves day work billing for his rigs on weekly basis.

Ensuring the safe, economical and efficient performance of drilling, well completion and work over activities in accordance with Statutory legislation, client’s program, Company’s procedures and contractual requirements. Along the West Africa Coast.

Mr Hycent Aweto was also The Executive Director Of Operations for SAP-HILONG in The mobilization of a 2000HP Land Rig Drilling for Shell in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, He brought to bear His Vast wealth of Experience in both Crewing the Rig and also Deploying the Rig to work in the Volatile Niger Delta Area.

Mr Hycent Aweto has attended several Developmental Seminar both within and outside Nigeria, He has over the Years maintained relevant Certification in line with Drilling Practices, he holds a Diploma in Operations Drilling Technology and Advance well Control.

Mr. Aweto is therefore poised to bring these numerous experiences to bear on the Operations of Shaledrill Intercontinental as The Chief Executive Office.
